Our experience in a wide range of applications and our well-equipped factory enables us to provide a comprehensive range of coating options, some of which are shown below:
Removing surface contamination prior to applying the relevant pre-treatment or coating system is an essential element in the sequence. Bradleys implement this through a range of environmentally friendly methods.
Iron and Zinc Phosphate coatings create an anticorrosive surface prior to the reception of topcoat layers. This is carried out by both dipping and spraying methods.
A multi stage process that chemically etches and converts Aluminium surfaces to leave a layer of chromate, helping to bond the surface coating and providing a barrier against moisture attack.
The most effective way of providing a key for superior surface coating adhesion and also an excellent way of removing rust and mill scale to provide a good clean, profiled surface.
Thermal Zinc Metal Spraying
The sprayed application of atomised molten zinc wire onto a blasted substrate gives superior bond strength for paint systems. Thanks to its high quality and smooth finish, and its long-life anticorrosive capabilities, it has proved a major success in markets such as architectural metalwork and general metal fabrications.
Galvanising provides long-life protection of metalwork through the fusion of a zinc layer to the surface. It is a dipping process which requires the submersion of parts into a molten bath of zinc and upon removal from the bath, the zinc coating solidifies around the component.
Thermosetting coatings are electrostatically applied in powder form to the work piece and stoved to cure. Bradleys offer powder coated finishes in a wide range of standard colours and gloss levels. With our expertise we also offer specially matched colours and special effect finishes.
Wet Paint Spraying
Bradleys are experienced applicators of wet spray systems and use an array of modern spraying equipment allowing us to apply and meet a broad spectrum of different paint specifications, systems, and thicknesses.
Plastic and Nylon Coating
Plastic and Nylon coatings are processed in a similar way to powder coatings but are thermoplastic thus offering high abrasion resistance with excellent wear properties. These coatings are also food grade approved.
Warm to Touch Coatings
Bradleys AK modified polyester systems provide a low specific heat capacity coating for meeting the requirements of British Standards Design and Build, Approaches for Disabled People (DDA).
Bradleys can offer a wide range of special effect powders to match certain textures or to imitate other materials. We are also experienced in two colour work using a range of specialist masking techniques.
To prevent vandalism by graffiti, Bradleys offer a specialist system creating a surface that if written or painted over, can be easily cleaned back to its
Especially important for the medical industries, surfaces that are easily cleaned and do not encourage bacterial growth can be created using specialist coating technology available from Bradleys.
In partnership with our excellent supplier network, Bradleys can produce a colour match to almost any colour in either wet paint or powder system.
